The rental is $19 flat fee and subscription cost is $9 per month as long as the user wants to maintain possession of the hearing aids. Monthly charges are not refundable under any circumstances, but a customer is able to cancel their subscription at any time. In the event of a cancellation, all charges to the customer until the day of cancellation will not be refunded, but all future charges will be cancelled with their subscription cancellation. 

In the event a customer should break, damage, or destroy their hearing aid in any way (including, but not limited to physical and water damage), they will have the ability to replace their unit for the exclusive price of only $29. This member replacement pricing only applies to customers who have an active rental policy that has not been cancelled or unpaid for any reason. Units will be returned and analyzed by Audien’s return team to determine if the unit is broken and requires a replacement fee, or defective and will be replaced for free.

The rental warranty includes free replacements for any defective units. Defective units are those units that experience technical or mechanical malfunctions at no fault of the customer. Examples include: the device will not charge, no sound will come out of the device, the charging dock does not work, etc. This rental warranty applies to the device and all accessories included in the original package. 

In the event of a return, customers will not receive a refund on the $19 flat fee and the monthly $9 subscription cost they paid up till that point. Only the subscription for the return will be cancelled. If the customer claims the unit is defective, the inbound logistics team will determine the validity of the claim. If the unit is actually defective, a full refund will be administered. However, if the unit is deemed fully functional, then the customer will receive no refund of any money spent up to that point.
